E-2 visas are only available for nationals of countries with an E-2 treaty with the United States. As of May 1, 2019, this type of visa is available to Israeli nationals. People may apply for an E-2 visa through the Tel Aviv branch office of the U.S. Embassy. You can mail your application and documents to:

Once you have a file, the E visa unit at the embassy will review your file a set up a time for an interview. Reviewing corporate files can often take four to eight weeks, and occurs based on first-come, first-serve. You must attend an interview in person, and information about applications will not be provided via phone or email. The consulate will contact the designated point of contact for the company, and you should not call for case status or other information. You should refrain from making travel plans until your application is approved.
You may also seek derivative E-2 visas for:
- Your spouse, including same-sex couples
- Children under 21 who are not married
Your spouse may also seek authorization for employment in the United States if necessary.
If you are an Israeli national and wish to make a substantial investment in a company in the United States or you already have done so, you may want to apply for an E-2 visa to come and manage the enterprise.
